Day 1 Depart Tampa on overnight flight.
Day 2 Arrive at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport this morning and take a driving tour of the city before checking into your seaside hotel to the north of the city in Netanya. Have a relaxing afternoon enjoying all the resort has to offer and preparing for the following busy and exciting days.
Day 3 Traveling northward along the coast, we tour the Roman ruins at Caesarea (Acts 25) before continuing past Mt. Carmel (I Kings 18) and pausing to explore biblical Megiddo (Rev 16:16), which appears in both the Old Testament and the New Testament (as Armageddon). It is the only site in the Land of the Bible with remains of 30 cities built one on top of the other. In Nazareth (Matt 2:23) we may see Mary’s Well and gain an impression of life as it may have been in the time of Jesus. We also pass by Cana(John 2:1), where the First Miracle is said to have been performed, when Jesus turned water into wine. Our 3-night stay in Galilee is at a Kibbutz hotel inTiberias, with a delicious dinner there.
Day 4 Today’s activities include a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee (Mark 6:45), Capernaum (Matthew 4:13), where Jesus began his earthly ministry and where five of his apostles joined him, and where the foundations of the synagogue where he preached still remain beneath a later synagogue, now also a ruin. The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) took place near here, when Jesus gave the Beatitudes to the people. This day also includes a stop at the Jordan River Baptismal site.
Day

source of the Jordan River, where Peter recognized Jesus as the Messiah.
We go from there to the Golan Heights, including Mt. Hermon
(Matthew 17) all important biblical sites and a scenically beautiful part
of Galilee.

includes Gideon’s Springs, Beth Shean, Sachne(springs) and
Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in a cave
opposite the ruins of an Essene community, and then we arrive at our comfortable
hotel overlooking the Dead Sea. We have private beach access and
will want to enjoy the experience of floating effortlessly on the surface
of the salty water. The you will head to Jersalem.(optional upgrade: Staying
at the dead sea)
Day 7 A cable car ride to Masada scheduled for this morning. We can see some impressive ruins there where the zealots held out so long against the Romans, who finally conquered them by building an earthen ramp to the top of the hill. Time this afternoon for another swim in the Dead Sea.
